Hi, I’m Borut.
The story of NetiYoga didn’t begin with a business plan. It started with a simple promise: to create something meaningful, beautiful, and truly useful.
My background was in philosophy and German literature, which is how I met my future wife in the small town of Krško. But job opportunities in these fields were scarce, and eventually, I decided to retrain as a carpenter. It wasn’t glamorous, but it taught me how to work with my hands, understand materials deeply, and respect the process of creation.
One day, my wife returned home from a pottery wheel course and said: “Borut, I need a wheel.” We didn’t have money for it, since it was just after the 2008 financial crisis, so I replied, “I’ll build you one.” I immersed myself in design manuals, learned motor mechanics, and practiced cutting, welding, and assembling. Six months later, our first pottery wheel was ready. It wasn’t perfect, but it worked. Testing it myself, I discovered my passion for clay.
Since then, I’ve built several pottery wheels, taught workshops, attended numerous fairs, and sold ceramics through freezing winters and scorching summers. Finally, in 2024, I embraced a decision I had delayed for years: creating a neti pot. A friend had suggested this idea long ago, but only after many years of working, learning, and breathing clay did it finally feel right.
Why a neti pot? Because it’s beautifully simple. Because it genuinely helps. It clears more than just your sinuses. It creates a quiet, calming space within you. Space for breathing, for peace, for living. NetiYoga naturally extends my journey: from philosophy to clay, from mere survival to meaningful ritual, from crafting objects to creating something truly valuable.
If NetiYoga becomes part of your daily routine, I’d love to hear about your experience. Drop me a message, share your ritual, or just say hello. Together, we can nurture a quieter, more beautiful way of life, one breath at a time.
